Passion is what makes success certain...

The title doesn’t say much as it depends on the reader’s perspective on how he interprets it.

The first question which might arise is - what is the difference between job and career?

Job is just completing a task allotted and get money in return irrespective of the skill-building, improvement, interest, and most importantly irrespective of ‘PASSION’.

A career is something which in the process builds your skills and advances your responsibility and money. If you have a passion and the correct mindset, skills, and potential to build your career in it and it ensures you to be economically sound then you should go for it.

‘Passion is a must’ doesn’t mean everybody has a passion. Some have and some don’t. It's not an understatement to not have a passion; in fact, life gives you a chance to build it, to develop it in your cup of tea. It may happen that an engineer may not love coding, or an MBA may not know marketing; it's just a clear indication that you just have to peep the options you have, either make a monopoly in any of them or try to learn or develop an unknown skill.

In either of the cases, whether you have a passion or not, you must not leave it. If you have a passion, you must nurture it, and in case you don’t have it, you must develop it.

Today, you see your friends and colleagues excelling in a discipline and just copy them. But in the end, you realize “This was not something that was meant for me”.But why don’t you realize that-” Ohh I am good at writing, and I would build a career in it.”At least you have a passion at writing, this ensures that you may increase your interest and value in that discipline well and you would be happy with your career too.

But some folks never have a passion at the start, but with time they develop it in whatever they have opted. And that's the reason why the saying-"Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow."

Have you ever thought of why a jeep or truck always has a stepney? Its because if a tire gets punctured, a stepney helps the driver as a backup at that time. Similarly, following a passion may sometimes fail and you must be ready with a backup plan

which would act as your stepney.

If you are assuming that it's my suggestion to madly follow your passion, you are wrong. Passion must be followed but after analysis of requirements and probability. Start-ups are the biggest examples of what happens when one goes mad behind a passion without analysis.

So ‘Career or Job: Passion is must’, just says that in whatever you do, develop and maintain passion. Analyze and introspect yourself, make your progress reports along with future strategies to excel!
